Privacy Policy
Arivu stores your library on your device. It does not require an account, display advertising, track you across apps or websites, or use third-party analytics.
Information stored on your device
Arivu stores decks, cards, review history, scheduling data, settings, imported media, backups, and card reports on your device. This information is used to provide review, import, backup, search, audio, and course features.
Arivu can use Apple system voices to read card content. Speech synthesis is provided by iOS. Imported files are processed by the app.
Information you choose to send
Card reports
When you submit a card report, Arivu saves it on your device and sends the card prompt and answer, deck name, selected problem, optional notes, app and iOS versions, and relevant audio diagnostics. Audio diagnostics can include the text sent to speech, language code, voice identifier, voice name, voice language, and voice quality. Reports do not include an Arivu account, contact address, advertising identifier, or device identifier. If sending fails, the report remains on your device for retry.
Support requests
When you use the support form, the site stores the reply email, topic, message, optional app version, submission time, and a random support reference. The email is used to respond to the request.
Network and hosting information
The Arivu site and report service run on Cloudflare. Cloudflare processes network information needed to deliver the site, protect the service, and enforce request limits. The Arivu database does not store your IP address. The service uses the request address transiently as a rate-limit key and does not write it to the report or support tables.
The public website does not set advertising or analytics cookies. It does not include advertising pixels or social-media trackers.
How information is used
- Card reports are used to investigate and correct sounds, answers, prompts, and formatting.
- Support requests are used to answer questions, investigate app behavior, and process privacy requests.
- Information is not sold or used for advertising.
Sharing
Submitted information is processed by Cloudflare as the service provider that hosts the site, Worker, and database. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or needed to protect the service and its users. It is not shared with data brokers or advertising networks.
Retention and deletion
Card reports that could not be sent remain on your device until you retry or delete them, or remove the app data. Sent card reports and support requests are retained while they are being investigated and for as long as reasonably needed to maintain product-quality and support records or meet legal obligations. They are deleted when no longer needed.
To request deletion of submitted information, use the support form and choose Privacy or deletion request. Include the support reference, card prompt and deck, or approximate submission date needed to locate the record. Because Arivu does not create an account or store a device identifier, a report may not be identifiable without those details.
Your choices
- Do not submit a card report if you do not want it transmitted.
- Delete or edit a failed card report before retrying it.
- Do not use the support form if you do not want to provide a reply email.
- Request deletion through the support form.
Children
Arivu is not directed to children under 13, and the report and support services are not intended to collect information from children under 13.
Changes
This policy may be updated when Arivu's features or data practices change. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the current version.
Contact
Questions, privacy requests, and deletion requests can be submitted through Arivu Support.
